Absa HelpUSell is available to any customer who has an existing Absa Home Loan and who is currently unable to meet their monthly repayments, financially distressed or under debt counselling.
Using Absa HelpUSell to get a quicker sale, might also help you reduce the accumulation of excessive rates, taxes and levies.
How you benefit
- Your property will be marketed by Absa’s authorised estate agents;
- Absa HelpUSell consultants will assist and guide you during the sale process;
- If the sale price is less than the outstanding balance on your home loan account, we’ll offer you a discount on the balance owing (‘shortfall amount’);
- The percentage discount you receive will be based on how soon you sign the Absa HelpUSell agreement:
- You’ll qualify for a 50% discount on what you owe if your account is only up to three months in arrears;
- You’ll qualify for a 30% discount on what you owe if your account is more than three months but less than six months in arrears;
- You’ll qualify for a 10% discount on what you owe if your account has been in arrears for six months or longer;
- No discount will be offered on the shortfall amount if the Sheriff of the High Court has already scheduled a sale in execution on your property.
