Jacques matriculated in 2003 after which he moved to the United Kingdom to brighten his horizons and take a gap year. Two years later, after completing his time abroad, he was employed as a F&B Supervisor at a large hotel group, where he learned his interpersonal skills.
Upon moving back to South Africa, he worked in the FMCG industry as part of the distribution team where he was faced with solving problems on a daily basis and later as part of the market research and implementation team to optimize the business as fast as possible. Jacques enjoyed being challenged and being able to build up knowledge that he would use in any possible career that he might persue in the future.
In 2014, an opportunity presented itself to Jacques and his family which he could not pass on. Jacques, along with his wife moved to his wife’s family farm in the Eastern Cape highlands and faming ignited Jacques’ interest in agriculture and expanded into things he never imagined he would like. His family grew and 2 kids later, they moved back to Bloemfontein to present their children with better opportunities.
Jacques joined RealNet Properties as a Property Practitioner in Bloemfontein where he specialises in farms and small holdings, an area in which he has gained substantive knowledge.
